This Saturday, the House and Senate Education Committees will hold a joint hearing for New Mexico educators beginning at 10 a.m. in Room 307 of the State Capitol Building—a valuable opportunity to share personal testimony on what’s happening in our public schools.

Before the hearing, NewMexicoKidsCAN will host a community breakfast at 35˚ North Coffee (60 E San Francisco St.) to review current legislation proposed for education during the 2018 session. We’ll also provide tips on delivering your most powerful testimony. The breakfast begins at 8:45 a.m.

RSVP for the event by Thursday, Feb. 1!

I hope you’ll join us in Santa Fe to address lawmakers first-hand. Sharing your voice in the movement for great schools is an essential way to mend the disconnect between the Capitol and the classroom—and to ensure that no one else is speaking on your behalf.

Don’t forget to RSVP for the NewMexicoKidsCAN breakfast event!
