In the wee hours of the morning, our literacy bill (HB 481), sponsored by Minority Leader Ryan Lane, passed the House of Representatives on a 44-15 vote! HB 481 incentivizes school districts to adopt instructional materials aligned with the science of reading and will ensure students across New Mexico receive research based reading instruction.
